Requested by the British Battle Group, coordinated by RAF liaison officers a pair of McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) F-15 Jets from the US Air Force make a simulated bombing run on an enemy armoured column during exercise Steel Sabre. A large Scale military live fire exercise on Otterburn Training Area it involves 1400 troops the majority from the Royal Artillery 1st Artillery Brigade and brings all the components of an effective Artillery group together to train in delivering firepower on the battlefield.
