Inveraray War Memorial against the Scenic backdrop of Loch Fyne

Inveraray war memorial on Inveraray green overlooking Loch Fyne. Built in the 1920's it is topped by a bronze statue of a Highland Infantryman, sculpted by Kellock Brown. A large bronze plaque on the front of the memorial states "In Memory Of Those Young Loved Lamented Here Who Died In Their Country's Service 1914-1918" and the left and right sides of the memorial carry bronze plaques with the names of the men killed during the First World War. The men who died in the Second World War are remembered on bronze plate embedded in stone which was added below the main inscription on the front.
