Remains of Second World War Costal defense structures built to defend Britain against Nazi invasion lay on the Sands of Cayton Bay. Originally the concrete pill boxes and a section post would have stood entirely on the clifftop providing defensive fortifications for allied troops.
Now badly undermined by costal erosion the bulk of the remnants can be found on the beach below
