Cleethorpes 2015 flypast
Spitfire Mk XVI TE311, from the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight fleet, is a low-back/bubble-canopy Spitfire with ‘clipped’ wingtips. The classic elliptical wingtips were replaced by shorter, squared-off fairings to substantially enhance the roll rate, closing the gap between the Spitfire and the Focke-Wulf Fw 190.
