During the 80’s & 90s he gained a reputation as a playboy with a large collection of classic cars. In 1996, after falsely claiming a number of them had been stolen, he was convicted of insurance fraud and sentenced to five years in prison. He was released in 1998 having served two and a half years. In 2004 he secured a spot on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and finished 4th turning him into a TV Celebrity. He went on to appear in Scream! If You Want to Get Off, Bad Lads Army, Can't Pay? We'll Take It Away! As well as making personal appearances in places like Kingdom Nightclub in Sheffield….
